Welcome to Endameo Yoga

Updated: Oct 22

Hello, beautiful souls, and welcome to my new little corner of the world. I’m Niah Blue, and I’m honored to share this space with you as a certified Hatha yoga teacher and the founder of Endameo Yoga LLC.

Let me begin by sharing the story behind the name Endameo, a word that’s as much a part of me as my breath. It comes from ancient Greek, a word that my partner and I chose when we were young and full of wonder. We had it tattooed on our arms as a reminder of something deep and sacred, of where we felt closest to God. For me, it was in the mountains, wrapped in their quiet beauty, with my partner beside me.

Endameo felt like a perfect expression of that space—peaceful, grounding, sacred.

Years later, after we married, we had the chance to visit Greece, where we were unexpectedly asked about the meaning of our tattoos. I remember the flutter of nerves in my chest as the man spoke. Was I wrong? Was I too naive in my understanding of this ancient word? I said, “I hope it means home.” He nodded gently. “It does,” he replied, “But it’s an old word, and we don’t use it anymore. When it was used, it didn’t mean a house or a place where you live. It referred to a place a bird flies to when it migrates south—not a nest, but the place it always returns to. It’s not a home in the sense of a structure. It’s a destination, a feeling.”

And in that moment, I felt a rush of relief and beauty. This word, this tattoo, this idea of Endameo was never meant to be about a place you settle into, but a place you find, wherever you are. It became not about what’s physical, but what’s inside. A journey. A feeling. A community. A reminder that home isn’t just a place; it’s something we carry within us, a sense of belonging that transcends all else.

My path to yoga started years before, but it wasn’t until a life-changing moment (a terrible car accident) that my passion for it truly bloomed. I was in pain for weeks, unable to find relief, until I finally saw a chiropractor. When I asked what exercise I could do to help my body heal, she said, “Yoga. Yoga is the one thing I’d recommend. It will help your healing process in ways nothing else will.”

I took her advice to heart and began my practice. What I discovered was nothing short of miraculous. Not only did my body begin to heal, but my spirit did too. Each moment on my mat became sacred—filled with tears, joy, frustration, freedom, and release. It was here, in the quiet moments of stillness and in the movement of the breath, that I found healing.

In 2023, I decided it was time to go deeper. I completed my Yoga Teacher Training and began showing others what I had learned.

And now, Endameo Yoga is here. In a way, it’s ironic because my teaching doesn’t take place in a traditional studio, or a “home” for yoga, if you will. Instead, I come to you. I meet you where you are, just as you are. And together, we’ll explore the practice, the breath, and the stillness that exist within.

At the heart of this practice is the idea that your body is your true home. When life feels chaotic or overwhelming, we always have the ability to return to ourselves. To find comfort, to find stability, to find peace within our breath, within our practice, within our bodies. The mat becomes a safe space to reconnect with all that you are.

Thank you for being here. I invite you to take a deep breath, to step onto the mat with an open heart, and to discover how yoga can help you create a home inside yourself, wherever you go.

With love and gratitude,

Niah Blue
