The Story of My Feet

I have always been fascinated by feet.
I know that may sound like an unusual thing to say. Feet are not usually the first thing people think of when they think about beauty, connection, or the incredible design of the human body. But the more I learn about the body, the more I find myself in awe of how intentionally we are created.
Our feet are a perfect example.
They are unique to humans in so many ways. They carry us through every season of our lives. They adapt, balance, ground, and support us every single day—often without us giving them much thought.
Somewhere along my journey with yoga, I became increasingly curious about the feet and the ways they connect to the rest of the body. I started looking into reflexology and searching for a way to learn more.
But I quickly ran into a roadblock.
Most of the reflexology education I found was connected to massage therapy programs, and I couldn’t find a course that fit what I was looking for. I wasn’t necessarily looking to become a massage therapist, I wanted to deepen my understanding of the body and add another tool to the way I support people through wellness.
So, I set it aside.
Or at least, I thought I did.
A few weeks later, something completely unexpected happened.
Someone rented out the salt cave at The LITL Studio to host a women’s circle. After the event, she left a flyer on the studio’s community corkboard.
That flyer was for a foot reflexology certification.
The timing stopped me in my tracks.
Only weeks earlier, I had been searching the internet trying to find exactly this kind of training. And then, somehow, it appeared in the very space where I was already teaching and building community.
Sometimes things have a way of finding us.
I went in curious.
I came out with an even deeper appreciation for the amazing connection between our physical bodies, our energy, and our experiences.
Since then, I have become the person who asks my friends and family, “Can I touch your feet?” (A sentence I never expected to say so often.)
But it has been such a gift to witness the different ways people experience this work. Every body responds differently. Every person carries their own story, their own tension, their own patterns and being able to create a space where someone can slow down, relax, and reconnect with themselves has been incredibly meaningful.
Reflexology has become another way for me to explore something I have always been passionate about: the incredible wisdom of the human body.
I am now offering foot reflexology sessions both at my home studio in Nampa and in the treatment room I rent at The LITL Studio in Boise.
I’m ever grateful for the unexpected paths that have brought me here, and I’m excited to continue learning, growing, and sharing this work with others. With Love Always, Niah
