The Breath is Always There

When I first started exploring what might be the next step in my own learning, breathwork was one of the practices that kept coming to mind.

Over the past year, as I have had the opportunity to sub different classes at The LITL Studio, I found myself naturally weaving more of my knowledge of pranayama—the practice of conscious breathing—into the classes I taught.

The more I shared about the breath, the more I realized how powerful it truly is.

We breathe every moment of every day, often without thinking about it. Yet the breath has the ability to become a bridge between our physical body, our nervous system, and our inner experience.

So I decided to explore breathwork more deeply.

I enrolled in a two-week online breathwork course, thinking it would be a great introduction and a way to expand my understanding.

What I didn’t expect was how personally transformative the experience would be.

During one of our early sessions, we were guided through a practice where we experienced firsthand what breathwork can be like. And somewhere in that process, I became aware of just how much my body was still holding onto.

Things I didn’t realize were there.

Tension. Emotions. Patterns. Experiences that my body had carried long after my mind had moved forward.

And through the simple, powerful act of intentionally working with my breath, I experienced what can happen when we create the right conditions for the body to soften and release.

It was a reminder that our bodies are constantly communicating with us. Sometimes they simply need the time, space, and safety to be heard.

This experience has only deepened my curiosity and desire to continue learning.

Becoming certified in breathwork is a longer journey, both in time and financial investment, so it will be a while before I am able to offer this practice as part of Endameo Yoga.

But until then, we continue with what we have already begun.

We breathe.

We practice pranayama.

We learn more about ourselves and the incredible wisdom of the body.

And we continue exploring the many ways we can reconnect with ourselves through mindful movement and intentional practices.

Keep your eyes open for new ways to connect with your body through Endameo Yoga. This journey is always unfolding, and I’m excited to continue learning alongside you. With Love Always, Niah
